Dorper Sheep Description
Dorper Sheep is a breed from South Africa developed in the 1930's by crossing the Blackhead Persian sheep with the Dorset Horn. The South African Department of Agriculture created the breed, a meat sheep, suitable to the more arid regions of the country, and the Dorper is the second most common sheep breed in South Africa.
